Have you ever seen any one turn into a cow or a vegetable? No, nor will you. How many times have you seen where someone who is unhappy, goes to an event and within minutes becomes happy? Did that person change because of something she ate at the event, or because her thoughts changed?
The famous author Marie Von Ebner-Eschenbach said, “Not what we experience, but how we perceive what we experience, determines our fate.” To me this reinforces the truth that we are what we think.
I recently attended a Toastmasters humorous speech competition, the winner spoke about how his luck was always bad luck. The humor was in the fact that every time he had "Bad Luck" it was always some thing that helped him or turned out good. The case on point was how he came to America, he joined a competition for a scholarship to a US university on a bet with a friend that he could never win. Their were 20'000 contestants and his bad luck was that he lost that bet.
How often do we sabotage our lives by thinking that we should do this or not do that because we are not someone else? Isn't that becoming what we think? Then again how many times do we see that everyone tells someone that it cannot be done, but they persevere and accomplish their goal? They became what they thought.
The laws of attraction says that we attract what we think about. Psychology tells us that when we put bad thoughts into our ego enough times they become a psychosis. Is that not a proof of "We are what we think"?
We need to put positive and nourishing thoughts into our lives. We need to believe that the universe is their to be explored and that we are the ones that are there to explore it. We are meant to take the thoughts that are given to us and run with them. We should find our passions and passionately follow them. Looking always for the the new thought and new experience that will guide us into the future that will bring us prosperity and happiness.
